Four aims of life & three pillars of health

Understanding the four aims of life and the three pillars of health gives a structured footing to establish and build upon as you start your journey through Ayurveda in understanding your unique constitution. These are guidelines to live by and consider when making decisions about your wellness path.

The Doshas & Gunas

The doshas are like the blueprint to our DNA and the gunas are the qualities that break the blueprint down into bite-sized bits of deep understanding of the qualities of the elements that reside in us. Through this understanding, you will learn how to identify the shifts within you by tracking these qualities and how they change through out your day, season, and life.

Ama & Agni

Agni is the fire in our bodies that is responsible for the transformation of the elements and foods that we eat. Ama is the toxins that can accumulate in our bodies. These are some of the most important concepts in Ayurvedic wellness. In this class you will learn how to identify your state of angi, how to balance it, the process of digestion, and ways to mitigate ama.

Dinacharya

Dinacharya is our daily routine. This can vary according to the person’s constitution and seasonal changes during the year. Here we cover the importance of cultivating a daily routine and practices that are best suited for your constitution during different phases and seasons of life.

Ahara & Vihara

Ahara means diet and Vihara means lifestyle. This also changes according to the time of year and constitution. It is what we consume in our diet, and mind that influences our lifestyle and where we can find patterns that can lead to chronic or acute illnesses.
